Lectures on McIntosh County history

McIntosh County historian Buddy Sullivan will give two free lectures on key periods in the county in Darien.
The first lecture will be at 3 p.m. May 19, at First Presbyterian Church of Darien, 301 Third Street W. The title of the lecture is “The Rice Kingdom: Antebellum Darien & McIntosh County, 1800-1861.” 
His second lecture, “The Burning of Darien: We Know How ... But Why?” will be at 3 p.m. June 9, at St. Cyprian’s Episcopal Church in Vernon Square.
