The Bryan County News is looking to beef up its print and online community calendars.
We will including listings for recurring events — such as civic club, government and Scout troop meetings; church Bible studies, mission-team gatherings and regular services; and instructional classes offered by local groups — as well as one-time-only events, festivals, celebrations, fundraisers and gatherings.
Inclusion in the calendars is free, however those submitting announcements should observe the following publication guidelines. Listings for the calendar must be submitted in writing no later than three days before the event occurs. Items submitted the day before an event will not be published because of the newspaper’s time constraints.
Listings usually run two or three times before the event date, but the Bryan County News makes no guarantees.
Listings should contain only necessary information — name, time, date, place and a contact number. Additional details will be edited out.
