Help send off Honor Flight vets

World War II veterans and one Korean War veteran scheduled for the next Honor Flight Savannah trip will leave for Washington, D.C., at 8 p.m. Friday, April 16, by Amtrak train in Savannah. The group of 14 veterans will return by train to Savannah at 6:45 a.m. Sunday, April 18.
Third Infantry Division soldiers and the Winds of Winn chorus, along with Rocky, will see the veterans off on Friday evening.
Honor Flight Savannah is always looking for guardians to voluntarily accompany veterans on trips to the war memorials in the nation’s capitol. Individuals may also nominate veterans for Honor Flight.
