Goodwill of the Coastal Empire and Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia are teaming up to donate clothing and household items to the annual Good Turn Day Drive on Oct. 26.
Collected goods will be sold at Goodwill’s retail stores to fund Goodwill’s job-training programs for people with disabilities or barriers to employment.
Registered Girl Scouts who participate will earn a special patch to commemorate their participation. Girl Scouts and community members are invited to collect and donate gently used clothing, books, housewares and other items.
Girl Scouts must register individually or by troop at www.gshg.org to qualify for patch.
Donation locations include Richmond Hill, Brunswick, Pooler, Rincon, Savannah, Statesboro, Vidalia, Waycross and Wilmington Island Goodwill stores. For more information, email Jan Bass at Goodwill of the Coastal Empire at jbass@goodwillsavannah.com or call 912-354-6611, ext. 107.
