The Richmond Hill Garden Club will hold a Green Thumb Kids event during the Richmond Hill Farmers Market from
2-7 p.m. Tuesday.
Kids of all ages can select a young seedling, repot it and take it home to grow.  The club hopes to have a wide selection of seedlings to choose from – baby plants that are safe and hardy and can tolerate heat and humidity.
Parents are welcome to participate.
To learn more about the Richmond Hill Garden Club, find the group’s Facebook page or come to a meeting. The club meets at 10 a.m. the second Wednesday from September through May at the Stevens Wetlands Center in J.F Gregory Park.
The next meeting is Wednesday, May 13. The speaker is Gail Mathews who will discuss “How to Grow Orchids without Ice Cubes.”
