The Georgia Game Changers Health and Fitness Complex celebrated parents and grandparents on Sunday in recognition of National Grandparents Day.

Game Changers hosted an afternoon of fitness activities and games designed for families to enjoy together.

Also, a plaque was unveiled at Georgia Game Changers Running Company in honor of the importance parents have in the lives of their children. Company co-founders Ron and Sandra Elliott both credited their parents for inspiring them to make the fitness complex a reality.

The plaque reads that the Game Changers Health and Fitness Complex is “dedicated to parents everywhere and the ‘footprints’ they leave on their hearts and minds of their children, while daily setting the example of excellence for their kids to follow.”

The Elliotts routinely state that Game Changers is much more than just a place to buy a bicycle or running shoes. They want it to be a gathering spot for people in the community – especially families – to have fun while being healthy and fit.

“What we try to do here is make a difference in people’s lives, just as our parents shaped us,” Ron Elliott said.
