Food drive under way

Ameris Bank’s fourth annual “Helping Fight Hunger” initiative is collecting non-perishable food items this month.
At the end of October, a food bank in every town with an Ameris Bank location will receive the donation of goods collected at the local Ameris Bank branch, plus a monetary donation from Ameris Bancorp.
In Richmond Hill, collected goods will be given to The Way Station Food Pantry.
Members of the community are encouraged to drop off non-perishable food items at the local Ameris Bank locations and supporting businesses.
Through Oct. 31, the public can drop off non-perishable food items in the collection box located inside every Ameris Bank location and at partnering businesses. The Richmond Hill Ameris Bank branch is at 10425 Ford Ave.
