The recent Richmond Hill Garden Club meeting featured member Cean Scott Molinari presenting a program on flower arranging. Molinari, a retired florist, has designed arrangements and events for the famous and infamous, including icons of the design world, sports stars, television and radio personalities, politicians, balls and fetes and photo shoots.
Once she did the dressing-room arrangements for The Rolling Stones.
“Altogether, it has been a behind-the-scenes fast-lane career,” Molinari said.
The club members said they enjoyed watching Molinari put together beautiful arrangements using common flora and fauna from the backyard. She also suggested ways to make the arrangements last longer.
After Molinari’s talk, the members gathered for a potluck lunch to honor the members of the club who reside at Magnolia Manor on the Coast.
This was the final formal meeting of the year for the garden club. The club has a field trip to the Botanical Gardens at Georgia Southern University planned for April. In May, the spring luncheon will be at Folly Farms, home of club member Frances Meeks. At that meeting, new officers will be installed for the next two years.
