Film company sets premieres

Wonder Worthy Productions LLC, an entertainment-production company in Midway, will have red-carpet premieres of its latest productions filmed in Liberty County.
The local premieres of “A Promise” and “Kids Inspire” will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 7, at the Dorchester Village Civic Center, 1804 Islands Highway in Midway.
 “A Promise”, written and directed by Samone Norsworthy, is a coming-of-age, faith-based film set in 1930s Liberty County, according to a news release.
The film has won several film-festival awards and the Telly Award and first premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2014.
“A Promise” stars Tillman Norsworthy, a student at Midway Middle School; Midway resident Melvin Joyner; and Fox Martin, Hailey Baxter, Isabella Russell and Richard Cheely.
“Kids Inspire,” a television-pilot news show made for children, focuses on the values of ethical behavior and features children journalists and actors, according to the release.
The show will air on SGTV and is being considered as a recurring kids-news show on Georgia Public Broadcasting.
The public can buy tickets for the premiere by going to www.eventbrite.com and searching for “Wonder Worthy.” Select the option that begins “A Red Carpet ...”
Children are free and adult tickets are $5 each, with children admitted free. All  proceeds will go to the local Actor’s Academy for Dramatic Arts.
