National Alliance on Mental Illness Statesboro will offer its well-known Family-to-Family education course from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. beginning Feb. 10 at Pittman Park United Methodist Church, 1102 Fair Road in Statesboro.
The Family-to-Family course is a free, 12-week, science-based class designed to help participants understand and support their loved one while maintaining their own well-being. This informative course helps family members, friends and caregivers better understand mental illness and learn how to cope with those who struggle with them.
Locally trained members of NAMI Statesboro, Alice Coussons and Lois Roberts, would like to de-mystify these diseases and help friends and family members understand the unique challenges of living with someone with a brain disorder.
Call today to reserve a place in the class. Participants must register to attend.
To sign up for the class or for more information, call Alice Coussons at (912) 531-6629 or Lois Roberts at (912) 536-4448.
