Try finding the remedy for sin

Holy Week has past where we celebrated its climax with Easter Sunday. One of the truths to be learned is that Jesus provided the remedy for our sins.

The scripture makes it plain that every person born has a sin problem and that sin causes a broken relationship with God.

Romans 3:23 says that "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Jesus made it possible for that broken relationship to be healed.

People don’t always find the remedy. Some struggle for years trying everything else first before finding Jesus, while others never find him.

This can be illustrated in my pursuit of a remedy for the sand gnat problem.

You that live here know those pesky insects can be a real nuisance. For almost 17 years, I have tried so many suggestions only to be disappointed in the results.

A few months ago I was working in the yard and swarms of sand gnats attacked me. I went inside to find something that could help and at least give some relief.

I looked on a shelf above the washing machine and saw something that I hadn’t tried before. I don’t even know where it came from.

I rubbed some on my face and arms and returned to the yard and to my surprise the stuff worked and I have been using it ever since.

Some of you are trying everything else to bring about peace and to find your purpose but nothing has worked.

Try Jesus and you will finally find the remedy you have been looking for.
