Proverbs 3:5 instructs us to “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not to thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy path.”
 In the Biblical sense or context, “trust” means to rely on or to be confident in. We are facing some troubling times right now. Jobs are diminishing daily, some may be facing furloughs, we are experiencing government cutbacks in a number of areas, and the list continues on. But beloved we are to have faith in God and put our trust in the Lord in these times, and he will see us through. As believers, this is not the time for us to fall apart, but rather pray and rely on Him and have confidence in the Lord, and He will work on our behalf.
I have a praise report update and I can truly testify to Psalm 37:5, which says “Commit thy way unto the Lord: trust also in him and he shall bring it to pass.”
Some might remember that last year I took a job nearly out of state. I was paying my mortgage here and paying for an apartment there. I made a lot of sacrifices to make the move, and I trusted the Lord while ministering to so many people in Dalton. I said I believed the Lord and that the Lord would allow me to return to my home. Well, after fewer than five months of working at Georgia Department of Labor, I got a job here in Liberty County that paid me $11,000 more than I was getting. I knew He was going to bring it to pass but I didn’t expect the Lord to work so fast. The Lord literally blew my mind.
I dare you to trust the Lord in whatever you are experiencing and commit your way to the Lord. He will bring it to pass for you. Jesus said it best in Mark 9:23: “Jesus said unto him, ‘If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.’”
No matter how things look or your situation, trust ye in the Lord and it shall come to pass. Perhaps doubt or unbelief has crept in; just be honest and ask the Lord to help your unbelief.
It was written by an unknown author that the cemetery is one of the richest places in the world because it is full of unfinished dreams, unwritten books and unfulfilled developments and ideas. Well, I submit to you today that it doesn’t have to be if we trust in the Lord, because with God all things are possible. When we commit our way to the Lord, trust in him, he will bring it to pass.
In spite of the economy, the job market or our nation’s budget, dreams still can come true.  Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and these things shall be added unto you.”
