Limits on forgiveness
pastor corner

In Matthew 18, Peter asked Jesus about the appropriate number times to forgive a person when they sin against you.

The Jewish leaders taught that three was a good number. So Peter, trying to impress Jesus, suggested the number be seven. Jesus answered with either 77 times or 70 times seven, according to different translations.

The exact number isn't so important because Jesus is teaching that really the times we should forgive should be limitless. Forgiveness should become natural to the Christian, considering what God, through Jesus Christ, has done for us.

How many times have you went back to the Lord and asked him for forgiveness? Aren't you glad he didn't have limitations?
