Finding a remedy for brokeness

There are all kinds of reasons why people get to the point to where they feel like their lives are falling apart or they consider themselves broken.

When someone loses a loved one who they are really close to, it can be devastating.

When someone goes through a divorce, there can be feelings of being worthless and lonely.

When a person has major physical difficulties and setbacks, they may feel like life is not worth living.

When people become addicted to drugs or alcohol and their lives start spiraling downwards, they lose hope of ever recovering.

When those who go to jail or prison because of bad decisions serve their time, they know they have to start all over with the deck stacked against them. They usually are broken by the time they get out.

No matter how broken a person feels or how broken they really are, there is always hope.

The psalmist David reminds us of this truth in Psalm 147:3 where he says, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."

For those who don’t have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ, the healing starts with getting one’s heart right. The Lord will never turn away anyone who sincerely approaches him, asking him to come into one’s life.

For those who follow him, grace and peace is always available to help them through the most difficult circumstances.

Recently I have been praying that the Lord will send the broken to us here at New Beginnings.

Every believer should be willing to help those who are broken because every one of us has been healed by the Lord from one kind of brokenness or another.
