Allow the Lord to do a search of you

Sometimes when a police officer pulls an individual over, the officer may end up searching that person and/or their car for possible criminal activity. It could be for drugs, an unpermitted handgun or stolen property, just to name a few possibilities.

If something is found, there are consequences that will follow, and hopefully, the end result will be that the individual will learn a valuable lesson and change their ways.

Most individuals who are guilty of possessing something illegal don’t wish to be searched, but this same attitude prevails in the lives of believers when it pertains to sin or some wrong motive in their lives. Some go on in life with things that are unhealthy and need to come out in the open and be dealt with. David had the right attitude when he wrote in Psalm 139:23-24, “Search me, Oh God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me”

When is the last time you went before the Lord and honestly asked him to search you and reveal to you changes that need to take place?

The results will be that you will benefit from the change, but more importantly, your life will affect others positively. And most importantly, God will end up getting the praise.
