Actions speak louder than words
pastor corner

The other day, I was watching the news when a political ad featuring the politician came across my TV screen. He told what he believed and what he would do if elected. Immediately, I thought, “I wonder if his past voting record in politics mirrored what he was saying.”
In other words, did his actions match his words? As a matter of fact, this test would apply to all politicians running for office.
The same thing applies to all of us. Do the words that come out of our mouths reflect what we really believe and what we really take action on? First John 3:18 tells us, “Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and truth.” In other words, actions speak louder than words. We can say we care about people and their needs, but do our actions reveal it? Look what the writer James says:
“Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, ‘Go in peace; keep warm and well fed’ but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?”
What about a testimony of a changed life without a changed life what good is it?
May the Lord change and transform us into loving, caring followers who can dream and speak of changing the world  in ways that will result in actually changing it.
