The families of Peter A. Waters and Christina M. Shuman are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their children.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Pierce and Windy Shuman of Pembroke, Ga., and the granddaughter of Lynda and the late Fred Rewis of Ashville, N.C., and Jerry and Vonnie Vincent of Hagan, Ga., and the late Doc Shuman of Pembroke.

Miss Shuman is a graduate of Bryan County High School, currently attending Ogeechee Technical College and is employed by Electronic Services in Pembroke.

The groom-elect is the son of Mark and Doloris Waters of Pembroke, and the grandson of the late Robert and Mildred Waters of Savannah, and Edna and the late Peter J. Welsh of Savannah.

Mr. Waters is a graduate of Bryan County High School and is currently employed by the City of Pembroke, and serves as a lieutenant on the Pembroke Volunteer Fire Department.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, July 28 at 2 p.m. at the Floyd Pond House, with Albert Hill officiating. A reception will follow in the Harn Community Center at Pembroke City Hall.
