You don’t have to ask twice for volunteers to do something good for their community. And that was just the case recently when 85 percent of the registered members of Cub Scout Pack 141 showed up to help beautify Pembroke.
Pack 141 is helping the Pembroke Downtown Development Authority spruce up the city ball field. The kids, along with their leaders painted the concession stand. Members who helped included Cubmaster Lonnie Dombrowsky, Kristie Dombrowsky, Paula Basham, Bill Bodmer, Ethan Basham, Gage Caldwell, Tristen Rogers, Dale Basham, Isaac Marriott, Eddy Nieves, Albert Martin and Zachary Rogers
Pack 141 in conjunction with the DDA will host a Family Movie Night on May 7.  This event is to promote families and the community coming together to make Pembroke a family-oriented place to live.
The movie will be an outdoor event, weather permitting, featuring the film, “How to Train your Dragon” by Dreamworks. Please come out and support the community on this night. Admission is free, and concessions will be provided. The movie will start at dusk.
