Sept. 19
“Let’s Get Batty with Ranger Sarah,” a discussion on the bat community at Fort McAllister, will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, at the fort. Cost is $2 per person and $5 parking pass per car. Call 727-2339.
The last Friday on the Train event for 2014 will be held 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, at the Richmond Hill Station Exchange. The event is free.

The next Festive Friday, a fundraiser for the Pay It Forward Foundation of Bryan County, will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, at the Richmond Hill City Center with discounted drinks, free snacks and entertainment provided by Angel Fire, professional violinist Sholpan Beibitbayeva and pianist Renee Miles.

Sept. 20
Team Love 4 Lori presents its sixth annual “Ride to Remember” Lori Mobley Groover Memorial Ride Dice Run on Saturday, Sept. 20. Registration is at 9 a.m. First bike out 9:30 am. Last bike out 10 a.m., all starting at Southern Biker Gear in Richmond Hill. The run will end at Dorchester Civic Center in Midway. Registration is $20, with additional rolls $5 each.

“A Luncheon on the River,” a canoe trip on Redbird Creek, will start at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at Fort McAllister State Park in Richmond Hill. Attendees should bring their own picnic lunch. Cost is $20 per person and $5 park pass per car. Call 727-2339.

Sept. 23
An AARP safe-driving course will be held from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, at Magnolia Manor, 141 Timber Trail in Richmond Hill. Cost is $15 per AARP member and $20 per non-member. The course will have 25 spots available. Call Kelly Wood at 912-756-4300, ext. 102.
