Networking group: The local chapter of Business Networks Internations – Georgia and South Carolina will have a networking meeting for business professionals in and around Richmond Hill at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 16 at Southern Image Restaurant on Highway 17 in Richmond Hill.

Kayak event
Waterways Township will be open to the public, offering the chance to explore the new community by canoe or kayak on Grand Lagoon, from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.
The entrance to Waterways Township is at 18542 Highway 144. Registration is required.

Sidewalk sale
Village on the Hill Learning Center will host a sidewalk sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the center on Highway 17 near Harris Trial Road.
All proceeds will benefit Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), a nonprofit advocacy group for neglected and abused children.
In the meantime, donations for the sale are being accepted at Village on the Hill Learning Center. For more information, call 445-0160 or email learningcenter@yahoo.com.

The Richmond Hill Asperger Support Group will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Richmond Hill Public Library. Contact RHAspergerGroup@aol.com for information.

Living will program
Magnolia Manor on the Coast will host a dinner program on the importance of advanced planning in health care decisions at 6 p.m. Oct. 18 at Magnolia Manor on Timber Trail Road in Richmond Hill.
The program, presented by Medical Infusions Technology, is based on “Five Wishes,” a popular living will that is easy to understand and helps start the conversation of care in times of serious illness.
Attendees will receive a copy of the publication and will watch a short video on how to complete a living will. The program and dinner are free.

Job fair
The Development Authority of Bryan County, the city of Pembroke and the North Bryan Chamber of Commerce will host a job fair from 3-6 p.m. Oct. 18 at the J.D. Harn Community Center at 91 Lanier St., Pembroke.
The event will allow residents of Bryan County and the surrounding areas the chance to learn about job opportunities with industries in Bryan County. Participating industries include Matson Logistics, Savannah Global Solutions, CZM Foundation Equipment, Daniel Defense and Blue Bell Ice Cream.

Lantern tour
Fort McAllister will hold a candle lantern tour from 7-8 p.m. Oct. 20 at the state historic park in Richmond Hill.
Visitors will have the chance to tour the fort by candlelight and see Civil War re-enactors going through their nightly routines. Visitors who stray from the tour group just might be captured as a spy.
The cost is $6.50 for adults and $3.75 for children. No flashlights allowed.
