The Lanier Primary School Council will have meetings at 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10 and April 28 in the school media center.
The council will discuss and seek input on the school improvement plan, the accreditation process, increasing parental involvement and other topics.
The council is made up of parents and community business members elected by LPS parents who provide feedback and input on continuous school improvement. The public is welcome to attend.

Town hall meeting

The city of Richmond Hill will hold a town hall meeting to present and discuss the Draft Landscaping Ordinance at 7 p.m. Thursday in City Hall, 40 Richard R. Davis Drive.  

Job fair
The Southeast Regional Job Fair will be held from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday at the Glennville National Guard Armory, 1200 E. Barnard St. in Savannah.
This free event is open to the public including veterans, unemployed and underemployed. There is no charge to participate.

Holiday bazaar
The Craft Ladies of Richmond Hill United Methodist Church will hold a holiday bazaar and country store with tea and trifle from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 23 at the church. Admission is $3. Children 3 and under get in free.

Holiday closures
The Richmond Hill Public Library will close at 6 p.m. Nov. 27 for the Thanksgiving holiday and will reopen at 10 a.m. Dec. 2.
The Pembroke Public Library will be closed Nov. 28-Nov. 30 for Thanksgiving and will also reopen at 10 a.m. Dec. 2.
Both branches are closed on Sundays.

Holiday train

Christmas on the Train will be from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Dec. 7 at the Station Exchange in Richmond Hill.
Carriage Tours of Savannah will give carriage rides. Keith & Ross will provide entertainment and Midnight Star Pottery will provide creative crafts. Santa and more than 20 vendors are expected.
The event is being presented by the Suites at Station Exchange and Georgia Living At Home.

Parade, chili registration

Registration is under way for Richmond Hill’s 12th annual Chili Cook-Off set for 6:30 p.m. Dec. 6 at J.F. Gregory Park. For more information or to register, call Linda Phillips at 756-2831 or Jennifer McCorkle at 756-3592.
Entries are being taken for the city’s 18th annual Hometown Christmas Parade set for 10 a.m. Dec. 7.
