The Bryan County Library at Richmond Hill will close at 6 p.m. Wednesday, one hour earlier than the scheduled time.  
The Bryan County libraries at Pembroke and Richmond Hill will be closed Thursday for Independence Day and will reopen at 10 a.m. Friday.

Prayer breakfast
The September Birth Month Committee of Bryan Neck Missionary Baptist Church will host its prayer breakfast fundraiser at 9 a.m. July 6 at the church in Richmond Hill.
The theme is “Prayer Changes Things,” and the guest speaker is Evangellist Gwendolyn Broxton of Christ Memorial Baptist Church in Savannah.

Pre-K vacancies
Bryan County Head Start/Pre-K, a federally funded program for preschool children from low-income families, has vacancies to fill before classes start Aug. 9.
Children participate in a variety of educational activities designed to improve school readiness. They also receive free medical and dental care, have healthy meals and snacks and enjoy quality play indoors and outdoors in a safe setting.
Bryan County Head Start/Pre-K is at 166 Bacontown Road in Pembroke. School hours for the pre-K class is 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and for the 3-year-olds class is 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Junior Ranger Camp
Fort McAllister’s Junior Ranger Camps are set for July 15-19 at 3894 Fort McAllister Road south of Richmond Hill.
Attendees will learn skills from Civil War soldier training to outdoor survival ethics. They also will explore the park’s marsh ecosystem and end the week with a canoe trip down Redbird Creek to Shark Tooth Sandbar.  
Times are 9 a.m.-2 p.m. daily. Participants need to bring their own lunches. The cost is $90 per camper.
