The Richmond Hill Historical Society will welcome local author and historian Buddy Sullivan for a history lecture at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Richmond Hill Museum at Highway 144 and Timber Trail Road.
Sullivan will give an overview of the past 400 years of coastal Georgia history. The lecture is free for historical society members, and a $2 donation is suggested for non-members.

Educators meeting
The Bryan-Evans Retired Educators Association will have its first meeting of the new year at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the social hall of Pembroke United Methodist Church.
Carol Bacon Miller P.C. will be the guest speaker. The program will be on personal finance with emphasis on seniors’ needs.
BEREA encourages all retired educators to attend.  Lunch will be provided by the United Methodist Women.

The Richmond Hill Asperger Support Group will meet at 7 p.m. Jan. 21 at the Richmond Hill Public Library.

Prom Dress Drive
The sixth annual Prom Dress Drive is set for 10 a.m. to noon Jan 25 at the Richmond Hill Public Library.
Donate formal dresses, as well as shoes and costume jewelry, to lend a helping hand high school girls in Bryan County who want to attend their formal dance or prom.

YMCA membership special
The YMCA of Coastal Georgia, including the Richmond Hill branch, is offering a membership special during January to help people achieve their resolutions in 201.
This month, anyone looking to start the year off right can take advantage of paying no joiner’s fee when becoming a member at any YMCA of Coastal Georgia location.
