The Richmond Hill High School chorus will hold its annual holiday concert at 7 p.m. Thursday in the west gym at RHHS.
The event is free and the group is holding a collection drive for the Back Packs of Love program through the United Way. Items needed include pre-packaged foods, such as mac and cheese, chicken noodle soup, fruit cups, individual snack items, canned chili, canned tuna and more, as well as personal care items, such as toothpaste, toothbrushes and soap.

Holiday events
Pembroke’s 30th annual Christmas parade and festival will start at 9 a.m. Saturday, with the parade beginning at 11 a.m. to make its way through downtown. The festival will include a classic car show and a kids area in DuBois Square.

Winter Muster
Fort McAllister will hold its annual Winter Muster from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with the battle at 5 p.m., Dec. 14 at the state historic park.
Spend the 149th anniversary of Fort McAllister’s fall to Gen. Sherman’s troops that ended his March to the Sea and conceded Savannah to the Union. The Winter Muster is the fort’s biggest re-enactment of the year as Union and Confederate re-enactors relive the moments leading up to the final battle.
Admission is $6.50 for adults, $6 for seniors and $3.75 for children. Kids 5 and under are free.

Breakfast with Santa
Bryan County Emergency Services will host a breakfast with Santa from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the Richmond Hill Senior Center, 9930 Ford Ave.
Santa will be available for photo opportunities. There will be a craft corner, with supplies provided for children to make a holiday gift and/or write a letter to Santa.
Admission is one new, unwrapped toy per child for donation to Pay It Forward Foundation of Bryan County.

Christmas dinner
Christmas dinner at Fort King George will be at 7 p.m. Saturday at 302 McIntosh Road in Darien.
Reservations are required, and the cost is $35 per person.
The menu includes roast turkey with gravy, mustard herb-roasted pork loin, honey-glazed carrots, garlic mashed potatoes, cornbread dressing, cinnamon bread pudding with whiskey sauce, rolls and butter, and sweet and unsweetened ice tea. Music also will be presented.

Firefighters for Tots

The Bryan County Emergency Services and Pembroke and Richmond Hill fire departments will participate in the “Firefighters for Tots” campaign. Firefighters will collect donations of new, unwrapped toys at all area fire stations to distribute to needy local children.

Christmas events
New Beginnings Church at 75 Crosswinds Drive in Richmond Hill has three Christmas events planned:
• The church will host a Christmas cantata at 6 p.m. Sunday.
• Christmas caroling and a hay ride will take place Dec. 18. Participants should meet 6:45 p.m. at the church.
• The church will have a Christmas Eve candlelight service at 6 p.m. Dec. 24.
