Miss Shanna M. Lynn and Mr. Jerry L. Murray Jr. of Blackshear wish to announce their engagement and approaching marriage.
Shanna is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Terry (Sherry) Herrin of Hoboken and Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy (Janet) Lynn of Blackshear. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Carolyn Anderson and the late Will Rodgers Murray and the late Guinelle Lynn and David Lynn of Alma.
The bride-elect is a 2001 graduate of Brantley County High School. She attended Waycross College and Coastal College of Georgia and is currently employed at Walker and Sweat Attorneys in Waycross.
Jerry is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry (Sharon) Murray of Richmond Hill. His grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. G.R. (Geraldine) Stewart and the late Deloris Boatright of Bloomingdale and the late Thomas H. Murray of Port Wenthworth and the late Christina McCullough of Oliver.
The bridegroom-elect graduated from Richmond Hill High School in 1990 and received a B.A. degree from Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah and a master’s degree in education from Troy University. He is presently employed at Richmond Hill High School as a history teacher and is an assistant coach for the boys basketball and football teams.
The wedding is planned for 4 p.m., Saturday, April 16, at St. John’s United Methodist Church, 4363 St. John’s Church Road, Blackshear. A reception will be in the church’s social hall.
