The Friends of the Richmond Hill Library and the Common Threads sewing group will have a book and craft sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the library, 9607 Ford Ave.

The selection of books is extensive, including fiction and nonfiction, all at bargain prices. Specials include political books four for $1 and inspirational/religious books five for $1. Also featured are some nicely bound Harvard Classics, vintage books including collectible Gregg shorthand system texts, history/war volumes, and many art/architecture books. There are lots of children’s and young adult books.

Common Threads will offer handmade quilted, knitted and crocheted items with spring/summer themes.

FOL proceeds benefit the library. Common Threads proceeds support the group’s production of quilts for such groups as Quilts of Valor and of hats and other items for cancer victims.
