SAVANNAH — Organizers of Savannah’s second Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon are seeking local bands to provide the event’s live
soundtrack.

The road race that brought 30,300 visitors to Georgia’s oldest city is returning Nov. 3. Organizers tout the fun of running as live bands perform on stages set up along the course.

Organizers are seeking 40 bands to fill slots on 24 stages throughout the city.

Savannah’s first Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon last November was billed as one of the city’s largest-ever tourist events.

A study conducted after the event estimated it brought $17.9 million in direct spending.
