SAVANNAH — The Savannah Sand Gnats will have their fourth annual “Pack the Park” game, benefiting Park Place Outreach — Youth Emergency Shelter, starting at 7:05 p.m. April 29 at Grayson Stadium.
Tickets are $8 and are available at www.sandgnats.com with the promotional code “PARKPLACE.”
Proceeds from the game will go toward 365 days of services to children ages 11 to 17 who are residents of the shelter.
Park Place Outreach Youth Emergency Shelter, at 514 E. Henry St. in Savannah, provides support for troubled children and teens in Savannah and the surrounding area.
Opened in 1984, the Park Place Outreach Shelter, which is open 24 hours a day, has helped more than 6,000 individuals.
“This event has been a great success in the past, and we are hoping this year we will raise the much-need funds for the shelter,” said Linda Hilts, executive director of Park Place Outreach.
