Wildcat band plays J.F. Gregory

The Wildcat band played a Christmas themed concert in J.F. Gregory Park last Tuesday. The park’s large pavilion was packed with parents, students, and yours truly all in anticipation of the yuletide music to come. The pavilion was truly a spectacle of holiday spirit and was ablaze with light. The RHMS band preceded their high school counterparts with a festive medley of traditional holiday tunes. Next the RHHS musicians took the spotlight, going on to perform several Christmas ditties. The audience was treated to the likes of A Christmas Pop Sing-along, Greensleeve, Oh’ Holy Night, and A Christmas Flourish. The Wildcats were conducted by Dr. Kiene, the band instructor at RHHS. As the band played the Christmas spirit visibly flowed throughout the crowd, and I found it difficult to refrain from singing along. The RHHS band succeeded in both putting on a great concert, and spreading Christmas cheer to their community. Play on Wildcats.
