Mrs. Walker’s fourth grade students at Carver Elementary recently became “Meteorologists of the Day.”
This activity provided students the opportunity to gain an understanding and make real-world applications as they observed, recorded, and forecast weather. They wrote a weather report, which described weather conditions and made predictions about how the weather would affect people in their city.
They also collected weather maps that showed their findings.
Then, students pretended to be a “Meteorologist of the Day” by dressing like a meteorologist and orally presenting their weather reports.
