Students at McAllister Elementary School had a Fun Run last month to raise funds to buy playground equipment. The students received financial pledges from family and friends for each lap completed around the school gym. The goal was $25,000 but the funds raised by the students exceeded that goal by $13,000. As of Jan. 11, the money raised for playground equipment topped $38,000.
