Students earn academic honors

Welton Li of Richmond Hill made the dean’s list for the summer semester of 2011 at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Undergraduate students earning a 3.00 or higher academic average for the semester gain the distinction of being named to the Dean’s List at Georgia Tech.

Georgia Southern University recently recognized two Bryan County residents for excellence in academics on the 2011 summer semester dean’s list:
• Jeffrey M. Hupman, Richmond Hill.
• Michael Morris, Richmond Hill.
To be eligible for the dean’s list, a student must have at least a 3.50 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.

Georgia Southern University recently recognized two Bryan County residents for excellence in academics on the summer semester president’s list:
• Ashley B. Traywick, Ellabell.
• Jessica Neeley, Richmond Hill.
To be eligible, a student must have at least a 4.0 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.
