Gina Hughes’ fifth-grade chorus at G.W. Carver Elementary School performs Monday during its recital for the school’s Parent, Teacher and Student Organization.

The students sang “Hand Over Your Heart,” “The Rules for Christmas” and “Here We Come A Caroling.”

The 87 students who passed auditions make up the largest fifth-grade chorus in a long time, according to Hughes.
