School board to hold called meeting tonight

The Bryan County Board of Education will hold a called meeting at 6 p.m. today, April 14, in the media center of the Richmond Hill Prekindergarten Complex. 

The board is set to approve an agreement with DEA Construction Inc. to provide fill dirt for the Richmond Hill Middle School road project.

The board will also have a first reading of a new policy on electronic communications, including emails, texting and Facebook, between employees and students.

Other agenda items include:

- Accepting a bid for $169,506 annually for a three-year lease with Toshiba America Business Solutions for copy machines.

- Authorizing an agreement with Savannah Coca Cola Co. for scoreboards for the new Richmond Hill Middle School.

- A budget workshop.

- Review of school system goals.

- An executive session for the purpose of discussing personnel.
