Six Richmond Hill High School students took home medals from the SkillsUSA Regional Trade Competition.
The Region 8 competition was at Golden Isles Academy in Brunswick on Feb. 5. It allows students to compete for medals in various trade and service fields. RHHS’s best competed in leadership, graphic design and health care competitions and placed in the top three in all of the competitions entered.
The local students, and their wins are:
Victoria Metcalfe, third place in graphic communications
Courtney Granat, first place in first aid/CPR
Chelsea Riley, third place in prepared speech
Adrienne Oliver, first place in T-shirt design
Abbey Smith, first place in advertising design
Samantha Campbell, first place in pin design
February is National Career and Technical Education Month and SkillsUSA is and integral part of the Richmond Hill High CTAE programs.
