RHHS Raiders bring home 14 trophies

Building on their stunning victory at the recent state competition, the Richmond Hill Wildcat Battalion of the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps brought home two Overall First Runner Up trophies last weekend at the 2010 National Raider Competition in Molena. The combined male, female and mixed teams brought home a total of 14 trophies.
The male team took first place in the 5K run, second place in the rope bridge, third place in the gauntlet, and fourth place in personal fitness.
The female team took second place in the 5K run, second place in the gauntlet, second place in the rope bridge, fourth place in the cross country rescue, and fifth place in personal fitness
The mixed team took second place in the rope bridge.
Cadet Cody Bryson took second place in the Ultimate Raider Challenge, Male. Cadet Alina Gonzalez took fifth place in the Ultimate Raider Challenge, Female.
The 260th Quartermaster Battalion from Hunter Army Airfield provided soldiers and equipment in support of the RHHS cadets. Their professionalism, moral and outstanding service enabled the cadets to have a warm and restful night of sleep.  
Honorable mention for team support goes to team mascot Jacob Oliver.
