The literary team from Richmond Hill High School produced two winners at a recent regional competition in Brunswick.

Peyton Ferguson won for Extemporaneous Speaking, Domestic and Mia Ricciardi-Kling, Savanah Oetjen and Diana Wilson won for Girls’ Trio.

The RHHS trio earned a spot in the finals at the regional competition where they placed first after singing "Ain’t No Mountain High Enough" and "Song in the Air" in three parts on Feb. 23 in Brunswick.

In her category, Ferguson had to choose one of three possible topics to speak about, then prepare her remarks in 30 minutes. She talked about the topic for seven minutes in front of two judges.

The RHHS literary team earned fourth place overall.

All four girls won the right to go to the state level earlier this month in Buford to compete against the top performers from the other regions across Georgia.
