The Richmond Hill High School Wildcats Marching Band recently won its second grand championship of the season at the Grovetown Warrior Invitational in Grovetown.
Competing against schools like Greenbriar, Lakeside and Oconee County, the Wildcats won high music, high general effect, high visual, high drum major, best in class AAAAA/AAAAAA band and best band in the preliminary rounds.
In the finals, the band won in drum major, highest music score, highest general effect, high visual and Grand Champion.
Band director Daniel Kiene said this is the first time the band has won two grand championships in the same year.
The Wildcats now go on to compete at the Marching Mustang Invitational on Nov. 2 at South Effingham.
