Richmond Hill High School Marching Wildcat band captured the Grand Champion Award on Saturday at the 2010 Battle on the Border in Valdosta.
Fifteen bands enjoyed a day of competition before the packed stands at Lowndes County Martin Stadium.
Best in Class Honors for Bands went to Americus-Sumter County High, Class A; Appling County High, Class AA; Lincoln High, Class AAA; and Richmond Hill High, Class AAAA.
Richmond Hill swept the Best Music, Best Visuals and Highest General Effect awards.
Eight bands competed in finals and came is as follows: Richmond Hill, first; Valdosta High, second; Lincoln High, third; Glynn Academy, fourth; Appling County High, fifth; Ware County, sixth; Americus Sumter, seventh; and Camden High, eighth.
