If there were senior superlatives in George Washington Carver Elementary School, fourth-grade teacher Jennsey McGee would surely win in the “best all-around category,” according to Crystal Morales, principal of the school in Richmond Hill.

“She’s the best all around,” Morales said. “She’s just an all-around great teacher.”

McGee was chosen this week as Teacher of the Year by her co-workers at Carver Elementary.

“It was such a nice honor to be nominated by my peers,” McGee said. “I’m humbled and honored.”
