Lanier Primary School students were treated to a visit by children’s book author David M. Sargent Jr. from Arkansas. He was accompanied by his four dogs: Tatum, Emma, Daphne and Spike.
The students and staff enjoyed meeting characters from his books, see the dogs perform tricks and hearing him read a couple of his books.
Helen Ann Keppel, media specialist at Lanier Primary School, commented that the school strives to do everything it can to create a love of reading and writing.
