Kormath qualifies for state geographic bee

Pooja Kormath, a fifth-grader at Carver Elementary School, has qualified to compete in the state level competition of the National Geographic Bee, sponsored by Plum Creek.  
The state bee will be Friday, March 27, the Georgia College of Arts and Sciences, 151 N. Liberty St. in Milledgeville. One winner from each state and territory will advance to the national competition, which will be held May 11-13 at the National Geographic Society headquarters in Washington, D.C.
