Kingston to speak at Armstrong graduation

Armstrong Atlantic State University will have its spring 2011 commencement at 10 a.m., Saturday in the Martin Luther King Jr. Arena in the Savannah Civic Center.
U.S. Rep. Jack Kingston, R-Ga. 1st, will deliver the keynote address.
Approximately 703 degree candidates will be on hand, representing the university's College of Education, College of Health Professions, College of Liberal Arts and the College of Science and Technology. The university will award approximately 517 undergraduate degrees, 164 graduate degrees and 20 doctor of physical therapy degrees. Armstrong President Linda M. Bleicken and senior members of the university administration will confer the diplomas.
The Armstrong Wind Ensemble will provide the music. Lucinda D. Schultz, professor of music, will lead the audience in the singing of the national anthem and the university alma mater.
