The Richmond Hill Garden Club recently awarded a $1,000 scholarship to Charis Peterson, the daughter of Cathy and Frank Peterson and a 2014 graduate of Richmond Hill High School. 
An honor student, she plans to attend the College of Coastal Georgia in Brunswick and major in biology with an emphasis on marine ecology. The garden club awards a $1,000 scholarship annually to a local high school senior who plans to major in a field related to environmental concerns, plants, and/or gardening.
