Brittnee Lauren Harris, daughter of Teresa Cowart of Richmond Hill and Rainer Harris of Columbus, Ga., was recently chosen to represent Georgia Southern University in the student abroad program. 
Harris is set to graduate Dec 10 cum laude with a degree in early childhood education. She has been on the dean’s list and/or the president’s list for the last five semesters. 
Only three students within the education program were chosen. She is currently student teaching in Sheffield, England. Her goal is to graduate and move home to teach in the Bryan County school system and pursue further education.
Harris is a 2005 graduate from Richmond Hill High School.  She attended school in Richmond Hill from second grade until graduation.
