Troy University: Karen Dennis of Richmond Hill was among the 750 students to earn a degree from Troy University during commencement ceremonies held May 11 in Troy, Ala.

Univ. of Kentucky: Charis E. Botelho, daughter of David and Maria Botelho of Richmond Hill, was awarded a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in a ceremony May 6 in Memorial Hall.

Georgia Tech: The Georgia Institute of Technology presented degrees to about 2,500 undergraduate and graduate students during the institute’s 242nd commencement exercises, including the following students from Bryan County:

• James Hardin of Pembroke with a Doctor of Philosophy degree.

• Jeremy Strickland of Pembroke with a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering.

• Candace Giles of Richmond Hill with a Bachelor of Science in building construction.
