Georgia Southern

STATESBORO — Georgia Southern University recently recognized more than 1,350 students for excellence in academics on the fall president’s list.

Those from Richmond Hill were Victoria Barrett, Robert Chapman, Marcie DeMond, Erin Fortenberry, Darrell Fullmer II, James Gormley Jaclyn Henman, Diana Malave, Zoe Mapes, Sean McQueeney, Brittany Williams and Tyler Williams.

Those from Pembroke were Kaitlin Bennett, Payton Burgstiner, Courtney Cook, Daniel Klein, Jay Patel, Paige Shuman, Jacob Stansell, Starsha White and Laura Wiggins

Those from Black Creek were Christopher Carswell and Jeffrey Lewis.

Those from Ellabell were Sierra Cowart, Elizabeth Hawkins, Tyler Poythress, Trent Price, Russell Rogers, Andy Pham, Shirley Senefeld, Todd Twiggs and Tam Vo.

To be eligible for the president’s list, a student must have at least a 4.0 GPA and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.

Armstrong

SAVANNAH — Armstrong State University recently named 10 students from Richmond Hill to the fall president’s list:

The students, their classes and majors are:

• James Carl, senior, marine biology

• Jenna Gulle, senior, biology

• Jung Kim, senior, nursing

• Haley Kodak, junior, biology

• Loretta McKee, junior, nursing

• Theresa Nguyen, sophomore, undeclared

• Malika Rollins, sophomore, nursing

• Lourdes Sylla, senior, biology

• Allyson Yates, senior, early childhood education

• Kelsea Young, senior, biology

The list includes students who earned GPAs of 4.0 on a 4.0 scale and completed a minimum of nine hours through two consecutive semesters.

Mercer

MACON — Mercer University has announced the fall president and dean’s lists, which included six students from Richmond Hill.

Sydney Koenig, a junior in the College of Liberal Arts, was named to the president’s list.

Making the dean’s list were:

• Sarah Barry, junior, College of Liberal Arts

• Heather Carpenter, senior, Stetson School of Business and Economics

• Geena Denton, freshman, Townsend School of Music

• Adewunmi Sobowale, junior, School of Engineering

• Sarah Windeknecht, junior, College of Liberal Arts

Inclusion on the list requires students to meet GPA standards specific to their college or school within the university.

Troy

TROY, Ala. — Jennifer Luke of Richmond Hill has been named to the provost’s list at Troy University.

The list honors full-time undergraduate students who are registered for at least 12 semester hours and who have a GPA of at least 3.65.

Luther College

DECORAH, Iowa — Sydney Scooler, Luther College junior from Richmond Hill, has been named to the school’s 2015 fall semester dean’s list. Scooler is the child of Kiersten and James Scooler.

To be named to the list, a student must earn a semester GPA of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale and complete at least 12 credit hours.

Columbia College

COLUMBIA, Mo. — Three students attending Columbia College’s Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield campuses were named to the dean’s list for the October-December and January-March sessions:

To be named to the list, a student must have completed 12 semester hours in a 16-week period and achieved a minimum GPA of 3.5.
