BCHS seniors get awards, scholarships at Honors Night

Bryan County High School honored its class of 2011 and other students Monday during its annual Honors Night.

Valedictorian Sabrina Pope and salutatorian Shameka Gray received the President’s Education Excellence Award. Other awards of the evening included: Chantalette Smith, Olivia Harvey Heart and Soul Award; DeVante’ Fraizer, Principal’s Award; Jeremy Ennis, NeSmith Chevrolet scholarship; Taylor Stanfield, Student of the Year and Pembroke Masonic Lodge scholarship.

Bryan County High School graduation ceremonies will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the school gym. Graduating students should meet in the school cafeteria at 8:15 a.m.

The Richmond Hill High School graduation ceremonies will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Armstrong Atlantic State University Alumni Arena, 11935 Abercorn St., Savannah. Graduating seniors are to meet at 8 a.m. in the arena for rehearsal. Due to the record number of graduates, RHHS officials are requesting that seniors invite no more than seven guests each.
