Bryan County High School recently had a yellow poplar tree planted near the school gym in celebration of Arbor Day. The tree was provided by Shawn Diddie of the Georgia Forestry Commission.
The tree-planting and a trip to the Georgia National Fair Rodeo in Perry the next day culminated the school’s celebration of National FFA week. The FFA students then went to the school library and passed out calculators and pamphlets from the Georgia Forestry on the benefits of planting trees.
