Richmond Hill dropped a 7-4 decision to Effingham at home Monday night and will be the No. 2 seed in the Region 2-AAAAAA tournament. Bryan County, meanwhile, dropped two games to Vidalia last week and was knocked out of the Region 2-AA tournament.

Tour de Ford raises record total for RHHS Band

The second annual Tour de Ford Ten Miler Road Race, held at the historic Ford Plantation, was a dream come true for the Richmond Hill High School Band, as the race raised $9,539.09 this year.

Bryan County's home football game against Toombs County, originally scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday, has been moved to Oct. 6 at 7:30 p.m., according to Athletic Director Keith Wright. Oct. 6 was originally to be a bye week for the Redskins.
